Yes, Herbie Mann was living in an apartment then, and heard us and came up onstage to jam. Mitch Mitchell, King Curtis, Duane Allman, Dave Mason was there and some unbelievable Afro-Cuban percussionist. But what I remember most about the show was Delaney. He is so Delaney! It started to rain a little bit. He gets up out there with his guitar on his shoulder and he started to invoke himself to the sky and throws his arms up and says, ‘Oh Lord, take this rain away, we need to do a concert.’ He stopped the rain.
