Do you prefer Cesar Millan or Victoria Stilwell and if so why?
Cesar Millan. First, because he doesn’t berate the owners of the dog he’s about to help. Victoria seems to enjoy humiliating them. Second because he has an energy and a presence that most of the dogs seem to trust from the moment he begins interacting with them. Victoria doesn’t interact with the dogs – she has the owners do everything even before showing them how (although she does tell them). Third because his philosophies (Whatever works and doesn’t harm the dog is good, dogs need exercise, discipline, and affection, in that order – where discipline means rules, boundaries, and limitations and does not mean punishment – and so on) make sense – I haven’t been able to detect specific philosophies from Victoria. Fourth, because Cesar is willing to adapt his methods to each dog in its unique situation – he doesn’t have a ‘one size fits all’ methodology. And finally, because Cesar’s methods work – and are permanent, as long as the owners keep up the regimen Cesar initiates.
