Do you need to connect a digital set top box to an external tv arial?

Before you bought the digibox you presumably watched analogue on the same TV in the same room so you need to a) unplug the old aerial lead from where it goes into the TV and put it into the ‘aerial in’ socket on the digibox b) connect a new lead from the ‘aerial out’ to the TV (not required if the outside aerial is the only input source and you no longer want to watch analogue) Indoor aerials used to be an option with analogue but I doubt if you’d get more than a few channels on digital with an indoor aerial.
