Do you need a Health & Safety certificate to sell food to the public?
Local authorities have been known to prosecute people for selling food without obeying the very stringent Health and Safety legislation at public events, but if your fundraising event is taking place in somebody’s back garden or other premises which might be described as private, they will leave you alone. If in doubt, check with the health and safety officer of your local authority.
