Do You Know What the Witchblade Is?
“Witchblade” is a Japanese anime series based on the famous American comic book of the same name. The series is a joint production of Japanese studio Gonzo and American publisher Top Cow, who owns the rights of the Witchblade franchise. Due to the original version of the “Witchblade” costume baring too much skin, the series was “censored” by covering up the character’s exposed areas in black to make it more suitable for broadcast in Japan. These blackened portions were however returned to their original colors for the DVD release of the series. Masane Amaha is the (very well endowed) lead character and blade bearer of the anime series. While in Tokyo she somehow lost her memory during a mysterious catastrophic event that devastated the city. She was found miraculously unscathed in the phenomenon’s epicenter, holding a baby in her arms and a mysterious looking bracelet on her wrist a few days later.
