It is a three day holiday at the conclusion of Ramadan to celebrate the successful completion of the month of fasting. Eid ul Fitr begins with a special congregational prayer followed by a short sermon. Like other religious holidays, Muslims will dress in their best clothes, give gifts or money to children and celebrate the holiday with family, friends, and their local community.
