Do you know the period film / tv mini series?
A few years back I saw a period costume film / mini series on television but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was; all I can remember are two scenes. The first scene is of a girl out by a lake crying whilst a supposed gentleman approaches her and tries to abuse her when she refuses marriage. She is rescued by another man (I think her later intended), who punches him. The second scene I remember is that the girl tells her father of the incident, and as they are stood at the top of the stairs, the attacker appears and tries to say she’s lying. The father goes into a fit of rage and hobbles down the stairs, yelling. Once at the bottom, he hits the attacker with his cane several times. That’s all I can really remember. I’m not sure if it is a period English or American peice – it’s too vague a memory. The only period drama I have been able to relate to is “The Inheritance” which is an American period film, although I do not think it to be correct. Does anyone have any suggestion
