Do you know that many of our Ancient Hindu Temples are Thousands of Years old ( for example : Kedarnath )?
yes of courses a lot of Indian temples were thousand years old but a few are left in mountains bacause they were destroyed by muslim invaders like mughal emperor Aurangzeb (I think Talibanis are the heir of these invaders )in plain land but the temples at mountain and south Indian temples are safe because they could not reach there
