Do you know how to replace a drivers side rear window in a Ford Contour SE 2000?
Answer Ann,the rear window is replaced by removing the trim panel first.Look for hidden screws and clips and take your time.Next there is a plastic vapor barrier that will be re-attached later.If the window was broken ,now is the time to vacuume all the glass from the bottom of the door.Be careful the glass is very sharp.There will be a vertical run channel at the back of the window opening that will be removed , look for a hidden screw under weatherstrip.Lower the window until you can see the mounting nuts thru access holes on the inside of the door.Install the new window on the regulator, slide the run channel back down into the door and make sure the weatherstrip is not twisted.Check the operation before you put the trim back into place.Good luck.
