Do you know how to make a good easy mac dish?
I guess my questions for you are, What do you mean by a mac dish? (Just elbow mac?) and, how easy do you want it to be? For a super-simple dish, you could make up a “blue box” of mac & cheese. While that’s going, in another pan saute some chopped onion, bell pepper, and ground turkey (or meat of choice) with spices you like. Drain off all excess fat, and then mix it in with the mac’n’cheese. You might need to add a little milk to adjust the consistency. Taste and adjust seasonings, then warm up if needed. That’s one of the “one pot wonders” I made when I was first learning to cook. (When I was on a very tight budget it was sometimes cut-up hot dogs instead of the ground meat!) I’m watching calories these days so I tend not to use huge amounts of cheese except on special occasions. (Homemade lasagne is a treat around here.) Sometimes I’ll do a mushroom sauce. Another variation is to use no true “sauce”, just a good olive oil with some cracked red pepper, black pepper, oregano, and roast
