Do you know anyone that has gotten septicaemia from a belly button piercing?
I got my belly button pierced and all I did was clean it 4 times a day with sea salt I just put a teaspoon of sea salt and a cup of water(warm) and put it in a spray bottle and soaked it. It really helped it heal fast. You shouldn’t worry about Septicemia if you keep it clean. When you take a bath or shower just make sure you use an antibacterial soap to wash the piercing with and the sea salt and you should be just fine. Septicemia starts out with of course an infection that is not treated and it goes into the blood stream, If you don’t get on antibiotics then yes you can die from it. But you feel really sick so anyone who wouldn’t get treated is putting their life in jeopardy. You can buy sea salt at any grocers in the spice Isle by regular salt products.
