Do You Have Recordings of WWL Radio During Hurricane Katrina? Friday June 8, 2007 Were you tuned in to WWL-AM/New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina and did you record any of the audio? If so, you could help preserve a little history. I received this note from Greg Lambousy, Director of Collections at the Louisiana State Museum: “We are trying to locate recordings of WWL Radio…broadcasts during and just after Hurricane Katrina. The station did not record the broadcasts during that time. I have a feeling though that some one somewhere must have thought the broadcasts historically significant and recorded them. We would like to find out if such recordings exist and if we may see about acquiring them through WWL Radio for the Louisiana State Museum.” If you feel you can help, contact Greg at glambousy@crt.state.la.us or call (504) 599-1946.
