Do you have any further information about when the lithium iron batteries would be available and the cost?
Last I heard the target date was the end of October to the end of November. Cost is upwards of $12,000 for the Lithium irons, plus an initialization of $2000 for a total of $14,000. I have done a quick comparison and the lead acid is significantly cheaper over the 11 to 12 year life of the lithium iron batteries. Figure a cost of $1,500 for replacement of the lead acids and replacement every three years. $10,500 vs $14,000. Initial kit cost: $6,000. 3 sets of replacement batteries: $4,500 Total Cost: $10,500 Plus in three years, when the first lead acid pack wears out, the irons should have come way down in price, thus allowing you to get the benefits of getting the kit now and the savings on the irons in three years. Also the lead acid batteries should get cheaper as demand increases. At this time they cost $900 for the batteries and $600 for labor to change out, if you did the change out yourself, it would be another $1,200 cheaper. Any other questions, not answered here, will be gla
