First of all: be nice to everyone! Dance teams love to have people that are nice to everyone on the team… meaning, don’t talk bad about anyone, the coach probably will find out. To improve flexibility and get your splits (if you don’t have them already) I do a certain “stretch.” (after stretching on the ground before, though) Stand up, and not bending your knees, touch the floor (like you are touching your toes standing up) and then take one leg at a time and kick it up in fast motions, while still having the other leg in the ground of course. After about 15-20 of those kicks, leave that kicking leg in the air in attitude (bent) and hold it for about 10 seconds or so. Then straighten that same leg it so it is like you are in the splits in the air and hold it for a few seconds. Then attempt your splits. Another stretch is the jazz split, which is on the ground like a regular split except your back leg is bent in about a 90-180 degree angle to your straight leg, whichever you can do (c
