Parents and carers living in the County Borough are again being encouraged to give their views and influence a plan to improve the provision of childcare for our children and young people across Wrexham County Borough. The Welsh Assembly Government has placed a duty on Local Authorities to ensure that the local childcare market meets the needs of working parents and carers, in particular those on low incomes, those with disabled children, or those who wish their child to attend Welsh medium provision. Our first full Childcare Sufficiency Assessment was undertaken in 2008 and an Annual Review was completed in March 2010 to measure progress and to inform our Year 2 Action Plan. The Welsh Assembly Government requires all Welsh Local Authorities to undertake a full Childcare Sufficiency Assessment every three years and this must be completed by March 2011. We are therefore currently undertaking another full Childcare Sufficiency Assessment which will help us identify demand across the auth
