This would be the kind of story or tale passed down through generations and reflecting the much valued tradition of story telling. Join in the exciting competition for the National Year of Reading. Your entry could be: A recording of the story onto tape or CD or video A story told through pictures A video using sign language A joint project with members of your community to tell the story or write it down in your home language and English A bag of objects and a recorded story A homemade book A tale about your local area Exciting prizes available including a digital camera, having the stories broadcast on Tameside Radio, and the possibility of working with the Royal Exchange Theatre to dramatise the tales.
