Curare? It comes from the Amazon jungle! The swoon theory is one that has been around for a while, but medical evidence, based on the descriptions of the wounds of Jesus, has dismissed it. There is no way that a body, as battered as Jesus’ was, and with the massive blood loss and trauma, could have survived with no medical treatment in the tomb, then got up, pushed away a huge rock, and wandered around as if nothing had happened. The evidence of the Roman guards has to be given top priority here. They examined Jesus and declared him dead. These guys were executioners. They knew as much about any dead body as a coroner, as they had seen hundreds of them. If they said he was dead, then he was dead.
