Do you cut down a morning glory in the fall?

In years past, I have just let the vine wither away. As far as I know, Morning Glory is a self seeding annual. I often find 1-3 vines popping up in odd places the following year. I have seen some people post their method, which is removing sections of viable vine this fall in order to dry in doors to remove seeds for following year. I think I think I’ll try that in addition to letting nature do it’s thing.
