Do you burn more fat running fast for a short while or running slow for longer?

0

Running slower for longer periods of time. Shorter bursts primarliy use carbohydrate. If fat burning is the objective, longer periods of exercise will work more efficiently, but don’t max your heart rate unless you want cardio training. Stay about 20% below your maximum levels of output and sustain it as long as you can without overdoing it. Make sure you drink plenty of water, too. You’ll know you’re overdoing it if you get light-headed, severely out of breath, or your lungs start to “burn.” You’re at the correct pace if you can hold a conversation but can’t sing. I know it sounds strange, but it’s actually a decent way to gauge effort!
