Do you believe that eveyone has the right to bear arms (have a firearm)?
We are not allowed to in the UK, and we get on just dandy without them. I think the right to bear arms seemed a good idea at the time, but I think it’s proved itself a monumental failure. The more guns you have, the more crime you got, the more dead civilians you end up with. I’m sure plenty of my American cousins love it, but you’re welcome to it. EDIT- Hi Bob. My apoligies if i was misunderstood. I wasn’t suggesting that an American right to self determination was a monumental failure, just that the second amendment is. Every other country in the world, including the UK, managed to have their revolutions without a right to bear arms, I can’t see why it was so important to have it inserted in the constitution, when it would have been simpler to make a law, and then repeal the law when it was no longer relevant.
