Do you believe more Federal Public Servants will improve Public Hospitals and Health in Australia?
Lets be honest here, they couldn’t really do worst. The problem with the hospital system here in Australia is easy….aging population requiring more access to medical services and living on pensions, rising overall population and a lack of staff are all going to impact on the current system. Any government could continue to chuck bucketloads of money into the health system and it will still always fall short of what the expectations of the public are. Pity they dont do the same with our universities as places have been drastically limited in the medical studies for years (in part due to the rising cost of gaining a degree)and we are now paying the price for that wise move (thanks Mr Howard). Until we have some sort of accountability we wont see any improvement. State governments are obviously giving up a huge chunk of gst payments to relinquish their rights but I have a feeling it will be some time until we see any improvement but, hey, lets try it and see if this can at least make so
