I don’t think so. If there is no big money involved in football we cannot say football and violence are iextricably linked. If they are done purely for sport and fun, like we did when we were young and when gambling was not so bad, that is about fifty years ago, there was very seldom any scene of violence in football matches that my friends and I used to join or attended.
