NO – if the ecclesia were married it would stop the pedophiles consider 1 tim 3:1,2 This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; “1 Timothy 4 :1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. ” Strong words – denying the cleargy marriage is doctrine of demons …

Marriage requires a license. That means it is a contract, and taxed. Thus, in the US at least, no religion based definition has anything to do with it. Since the only argument against same sex marriages are religious arguments, that ends the so called debate as far as I’m concerned. To deny one group these rights is to deny equal (contract) protections under the law. If you’re talking about priests being celibate, nobody forces them to be priests, so this seems a non-problem. There is no evidence for celibacy leading to deviance. On the contrary, it is the overall tendency by the churches not to prosecute that seems to lead to already deviant people becoming clergy, and the problem is just as present in traditions where clergy are allowed to marry.
