Do you agree or not that virtual reality is just air guitar writ large?
Virtual realities became money generating, learning, working environment. People make thousands (many thousands) of very real dollars developing virtual real estate in Second Life. Big companies (like IBM) has very real corporate meetings using Second Life instead of conference calls. Car dealers start to sell real cars using virtual environments. Many companies (Fortune 500 included) have virtual offices in Second Life. And those virtual offices do real business. There are learning courses available in virtual environments (recently I watched one in Second Life). Virtual realities became sort of very real.
