Do you accept the existence of inequalities affecting MEN in todays society?
The biggest inequality affecting men pertains to reproduction. Tom and Jane have a baby. Jane doesn’t want Tom in the baby’s life, yet Tom is forced to make child support payments for 18 years. Okay, I can hear the usual response, “Well, if Tom didn’t want a baby, he should have worn a condom.” Even if he did wear a condom, shouldn’t he have the same rights as the woman? What if she said she was on the pill? He also has NO SAY if she wants an abortion. Men are NOT given the same reproductive rights. This case also ties into women who want equality. Ladies, you want to be equal? Then take responsibility for your reproductive system. YOU are the one with the uterus. YOU are the one who is ultimately responsible for YOUR birth control! YOU are the one who gets pregnant. Personally, I would be terrified to be a man as it pertains to reproduction.
