Do Worship, Fellowship, Service, and Witness ring any bells?
All of the activities, retreats, and projects GOYA participates in fall under one of the four areas of Worship, Fellowship, Service, and Witness. As Orthodox Christians, we believe that God reveals Himself through Holy Tradition and Scripture. Worship is the expression of this belief, and is a very important element in a GOYAn’s life. Ideas for worship activities include: Prayer at GOYA gatherings; religious retreats; observing the Church calendar, including Feast days and fast days; participation in church services; praying for those sick or in need. By gathering together in fellowship and love, we integrate our faith with our daily lives. Some examples of fellowship activities are: GOYA Gatherings; bowling/mini golf; beach outings; Lock-Ins; activities with other Orthodox Christian youth groups. Christ came to serve, not to be served.
