Do wood pellet stoves need an exhaust? Are there vent less wood pellet stoves?

Pellet stoves are power vented requiring a 3″ to 4″ exhaust vent. The vent-less stoves burn so efficiently that they are actually vented into the room. There are toxic fumes that burning wood, coal and oil can produce. Some (but not all) stoves that burn Kerosene, Natural Gas, Propane, or Alcohol Gel, may do so without much in the way of noxious fumes. However these may produce enough water vapor that it could be a concern. Besides, without a chimney, what about Santa?
