I don’t know if there is a rule that women hold grudges for long periods, or longer than men. I don’t hold grudges at all, my boyfriend on the other hand does. In all honesty I have known more women who hold grudges than men who who hold grudges. Although I would assume that it is an individual thing with women, the same with men.
