Do wiccan spells actually work?
Hi Matt Loving the answers from people that have never cast a spell in their life – how would they know? Spells aren’t specifically “wiccan”, remember witchcraft is part of Wicca, but you don’t have to be a Wiccan to do it. Spells are you know are not like Harry Potter, or as Crystal Clear has it, like Hollywood, or Bewitched, or Sabrina, or Charmed, or Buffy. The spells we cast are a good deal more subtle. I have mentioned before about really thinking through what you do in terms of a spell, what are the ramifications, who and what are you trying to affect. Yes they do work, not always that is true. Quite often they work in ways that you couldn’t or didn’t think of – not by way of detriment, just the universe having its way!! It’s a great deal to do with your preparation, your intent, and your energy and desire for it TO succeed. Lackadaisical or slapdash spellwork will get you the results you deserve.
Wicca is a religion, and as Labgrrl said, is not about spells. Witchcraft is a magical practice that includes spell-casting. Many Wiccans also practice witchcraft or some form of magic, but some do not. There are also witches who do not follow the religion of Wicca. That being said, I am both. And most of the spells I have cast have worked just fine for their purpose. But they don’t work like you see in the movies – Hollywood’s portrayal of witchcraft and magic is fictional. Real spells are subtle and work with nature.
