Do we need to open SQL Browser service port 2382 with firewall to connect to remote SQL Server by ApexSQL Data Diff, or is this not necessary?

As it is possible to connect to SQL Server instance even if the SQL Browser service isn’t running it is not necessary to open 2382 port. All that is necessary is to provide the correct port number of that SQL Server instance you want to connect to if it is not the default instance.
