Do we live in a geocentric solar system or heliocentric?
Ok, I’m going to answer this question, but you have to not take this in the wrong way. The short answer is, he is not wrong, our solar system could be geocentric. The long answer is, there is no absolutely correct answer. I think you should first ask, why do we need a “center” and how do you define the “center” of the solar system. Answering this question reveals how and why any answer can be correct. Scientists attempt to figure out the orbits of the earth and all the other planets. In other words, they attempt to define an equation which graphs the position of the planets as a function of time. If you know anything about algebra, you’ll know that any graph has a center, otherwise known as the origin where we define the point (0,0) to be. Any and all equations are derived with respect to that origin. Take the equation y=2x for example. You can go ahead and draw it out on paper if you want. Now what if you shifted the entire coordinate system down 5 units so that the origin no longer w
