When that period elapses, the purchaser or card recipient can begin using the card. They can also contact CardEx to register the card in their name for loss protection and Address Verification System (AVS) benefits. There is no extra charge to register the TravelCard online at www.CardEx.com. Personalized cards must be activated upon receipt by the cardholder.
