No, you don’t, only if you visit Hong Kong for not exceeding 90 days. Please be advised, by law, visitors are not allowed to take up employment (paid or unpaid), to establish or join in any business, or to enter school as a student in Hong Kong. If otherwise, you do need to apply for an appropriate visa before you go. The same policy applies to Australian passport holders in Macao.
