In general, if the total group involved is relatively small, we suggest a census (i.e., send a questionnaire to everyone). If the population is large (like thousands of employees or customers) then a sampling of the group will do fine for a measurement of this type. When interviewing a sample of the population involved keep in mind the importance drawing a representative sample of the total universe. (Tool Kit Owners – see Page 3 of your workbook).
