Do violinists cringe when they see someone playing a fiddle?

I’m not a violinist anymore, but I look at bluegrass and other style “fiddle players” with the same respect I look at “classically trained” violinists. I’m not sure of Charlie Daniels’ training and talent, other than the bits I’ve heard on his popular songs, but I still enjoy hearing him play (or a really talented bluegrass musician) just as much as I enjoy hearing the concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
