Do violent video games have an effect on teens?
Violent video games, just like violent movies can influence teens. But they are no worse than reading a violent book or watching a violent movie. If a parent can step in when needed and regulate a teens use of violent video games, or if parents look into it before they buy M rated games for their children, much of the “violence” and “bad behavior” that stems from video game use can be avoided. It’s in the parents hands to regulate what they think their kid can or cannot handle.
