I think violent games desensitize children. Learning to shoot people when youre ten has got to affect your socialization and how you view the world around you, kids are not adults and dont process experiences like adults do…..I would not allow my young kids to play violent games of any kind.

Violent video games do not make children more violent in real life. There are less restrictions in Canada on violence in video games, yet they have a lower percentage of teen-violence. Some studies show that violent video games, (or our side hitting each other with sticks or water guns) is necessary for psychological development. It helps kids realize the reality between the fantasy world and real life. Plus it is a good way for kids to channel their anger, instead of on others or themselves in real life.
