Do violent movies/video games create more violent children?

I’ll answer first, then I’ll show you an article that just kicks this debate’s ****. No, videogames do not DIRECTLY cause violence in children, or rather shouldn’t. Both bad parenting and VERY poor age classification for products in both videogames and movies are to blame. In some cases, people with a very violent disposition may be drawn to violent games, but they’re already violent people so that can’t count. Those kids who can’t tell the difference between game violence and real life are either A) too young to be playing the games anyways or B) May have phycological issues or a tendancy towards violence to begin with. Now for the article. Steven King wrote something on this debate too. It’s some great reading. http://www.ew.
