Do Video Games Convert Kids into Killing Machines?
I don’t thinkit’s the whole cause, but I do think it’s a contributor. When kids play these games it reprograms their minds that killing has no concequences in fact they get rewarded for it. It also takes away the reality of what happens when you kill someone. After all you just have to hit the restart button and it’s all better. Add in the lack of discipline and consequences in real life couple it with no real moral education and lack of coping skills and you have someone more likely to become violent. I think this holds true for all media as well. Here’s something for you to think on, the military has a contract with the vedio game companies to design simulation software to use in combat training. It looks real, it acts real and it does make it easier for a soilder to react in battle.
