Yeah they are really taken into consideration as there are three main aspects in picking candidates for Uni – The grades obviously, they are set at a minimum but lots of candidates will have better than that so other things are taken into consideration – A personal statement is required where you sell yourself to the Uni and there could be an interview process – Outside hobbies and experiences, such as organizations you are apart of and things like extra-curricular activities are reviewed like if you do volunteer work etc…
