Do UK Citizens under EU law have the right to refuse to give fingerprints at a police station?

Each country have their own specific laws on this subject. There are many laws that are different in EU countries. However, if you refuse to give any police officer your fingerprints, then you face being prosecuted. I’m British and live in another EU country. To become a resident I had to be fingerprinted. I see nothing wrong in that.

Its confusing. You dont have the right to refuse to give fingerprints or DNA samples but under Human Rights Law (EU) you can apply to have the samples destroyed if you are not charged with an offence. I think.
