I agree with your mom in some ways, but I understand where you are coming from too. I remember being your age and sneaking to wear makeup…fun and exciting. You are growing up and you want to have fun trying new things like makeup. I do look back at pictures from that age and realize now that I did not know how pretty I was without a lot of makeup. So, I can understand her saying the natural beauty thing. You need to talk with her calmly and see if you can come up with a compromise. Does she wear makeup? Maybe if you asked her to help you with your makeup (or at least go shopping together) she would be more agreeable. Maybe you could agree on some minimal makeup for school (like lip gloss, a little blush, and a touch of mascara), and some more dramatic looks for special parties, etc.?? Look into mineral makeup together. Mineral makeup, unlike a lot of the other stuff can actually be good for your skin and will not promote wrinkles. I hope you can work something out.
