Do tree roots harm or crack concrete borders?

0

YES. As with all concrete, roots may affect its integrity sometime in the future. During installation, if roots are near the surface of the ground, during our consultation we will discuss the course of action to be taken in this regard. Feeder roots may be cut in half, and the expansion joints cut all the way through the border allowing it to be reset as needed. In some cases, such as with water maples; we suggest not placing border around them.
