Do treadmill miles count as March Miles?
A. You bet! Q. I am still not clear on the difference between the Willett Resource and Inclusion Programs. A. The Inclusion Program serves students with developmental and physical disabilities. It is a “push in” program in which students are accompanied in the classroom (for all or part of their day) by an aide whose role is to assist them with academics, helping to adapt the curriculum to their needs, and to facilitate social interactions with peers. Lisa Yamasaki is the program coordinator at Willett. The Resource Program serves students with learning disabilities. It is a “pull-out” program in which students leave the regular classroom and go to the Resource Classroom to receive academic remediation for anywhere from 1 hour – 50% of their school day. Claudia Woods is the program coordinator at Willett. Both programs fall under the Special Education umbrella and there is some overlap in students served.
