In general, only the following trains in each country are handicapped accessible: International: Eurostar (Chunnel), EC (Eurocity), and CityNightLine trains Austria: IC and EC trains Denmark: IC and Lyn trains France: All TGV and most long-distance trains Germany: ICE, EC, IC, and IR trains Italy: Eurostar Italia, EC, and IC trains Netherlands: Most trains Sweden: All X2000, most IC and IR trains Switzerland: All IC, most EC, some regional trains Other: Please check the website for each country’s railroad for specific information. Special equipment may also be available for use by handicapped passengers. This equipment must be reserved directly with the country’s railroad in advance. Be sure to specify if you need personal assistance (whether with a wheelchair, boarding, etc.).
