Do Tiger Claw fasteners work with hard woods?

Tiger Claws were designed for most common types of soft decking lumber. This would include pressure treated lumber, red or white cedar, western redwood and southern yellow pine. We do not recommend using Tiger Claws with mahogany or other hardwoods because of installation difficulty. We have a new fastener (TC-4) in the prototype stage that is specifically designed for hardwoods. Unfortunately this product is not on the market at this time.
