Do Tiger Claw fasteners work with 1″ hardwoods?

TC-1 and TC-2 Tiger Claw fasteners were designed for 5/4″ or thicker, soft wood decking (pressure treated, cedar …). We do not recommend using these fasteners with mahogany or other hardwoods because of installation difficulty. We have a new fastener (TC-4) in the prototype stage that is specifically designed for hardwoods. Unfortunately it is not on the market at this time.
