The pictures you have in your mind, what you think about, and what you say with your mouth all have powerful effects on the physiology and can contribute greatly in creating obesity or creating a thin, lean, healthy body. Two effective techniques that can help you use these facts to your advantage are as follows. Write down the phrase “I weigh pounds.” Put your goal weight in the blank. Put this card everywhere you can see it, such as on your computer screen, on your TV, on the dashboard of your car, on the mirror in your bathroom, on your refrigerator, etc. Carry it with you at all times. Look at this card as many times as possible throughout the day and say the words out loud. This will help program your mind to create your ideal weight. Another effective technique is to use a computer software program to put your face on a picture of the body that you desire. Put this picture, or pictures, everywhere you can see it throughout the day.
