Do they make red tea with normal tea plant or some other herb?
Red tea, also known as Rooibos tea, is made from a different plant than other teas. The plant is called “Asphalatus linearis”, whereas the tea plant is called “Camellia sinesis”. Rooibos tea comes from South Africa, but other teas come mainly from Asian countries. Strangely, some Asian countries call ordinary black tea “red tea”.
