Do they accept pets from another country if yes what is the quarantine period?
In Cyprus pets are defined as animals kept for company and not for commercial purposes. Cypriot and EU law include cats, dogs and ferrets as companion pets. Animals less than 3 months old are not allowed to enter Cyprus Electronic microchips are incorporated into their body for verifying animal’s identity. All pets have to be vaccinated against the rabies virus and blood tests are required before entering Cyprus. Some breeds of dogs are not allowed to enter Cyprus. If all requirements are met, the animals do not have to go into quarantine. In the event that the requirements are not met the animal will be subject to 6 months in quarantine and will need an import license from the Government vet.
